MANI Gates Drills are endodontic instruments designed for coronal enlargement and straight-line access during root canal treatment. Their flame-shaped cutting heads help efficiently remove dentin from the coronal portion of the canal, improving access to deeper canal anatomy and creating additional space for subsequent instrumentation.

Designed for controlled cutting and reliable performance, MANI Gates Drills feature a non-cutting tip to help reduce the risk of perforation and a slim shank engineered to fracture near the handpiece rather than within the canal if excessive force is applied. ISO color-coded bands allow for quick size identification during treatment.

Directions for Use

  1. Establish initial canal access and determine the appropriate Gates Drill size.

  2. Sterilize the instrument before use according to your standard infection-control protocol.

  3. Operate the Gates Drill with a slow-speed handpiece.

  4. Introduce the instrument into the coronal portion of the canal using light, controlled pressure.

  5. Use a brushing motion away from the furcation to enlarge and refine straight-line access.

  6. Avoid forcing the instrument or advancing it unnecessarily into the apical portion of the canal.

  7. Irrigate as needed to remove debris during preparation.

  8. Thoroughly clean and sterilize the instrument after use and before the next procedure.
